Despite what the name suggests, herbal teas are not really true teas. True teas, including green tea and black tea are brewed from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. Whereas, herbal teas are made from dried fruits, flowers, spices or herbs.

Health benefits of different herbal teas:

1. Chamomile Tea Made from dried chamomile flowers Has calming effects and helps you sleep Helps relieve pain due to menstrual cramps

2. Peppermint Tea Made from peppermint leaves Improves digestive tract #health Relieves nausea and stomach cramps

3. Ginger Tea Made from ginger root Helps fight inflammation and stimulates the immune system Helps fight nausea, especially in early pregnancy

What about true teas? Just like herbal teas, true teas like green tea and black tea also come with a number of health benefits.

1. Green Tea Made with steamed tea leaves, green tea helps prevent clogging of the arteries and burn fat. It also helps reduce the risk of neurological disorders like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.

2. Black Tea Made with fermented tea leaves, black tea has the highest caffeine content. Studies have shown that black tea may protect lungs from damage caused by exposure to cigarette smoke. It also may reduce the risk of stroke.
